Our Story
Welcome to the happy home and heart of Mopp’s Mum Makes, where luxury dog accessories are designed, cut, and sewn with love!

We're Lindsey and Bill, a retired husband and wife team, and the entire operation revolves around the undisputed star of the show: our beloved Cockapoo, Mopp. It's Mopp, our muse and chief product tester, who inspired the name and the very first stitch of our company.

Our studio is our cosy house, nestled in the charming village of Oldmeldrum, Bonnie Scotland.
This is where the magic happens:

The cutting room is Bill's domain, a space dedicated to precision. He skillfully transforms our beautiful, high-quality fabrics into the precise strips and shapes needed for our exclusive range.

The sewing room is where I (Lindsey) take over. Here, every piece is sewn with meticulous care and attention to detail, transforming those pre-cut materials into luxury dog collars, leads, bows, bandanas, harnesses, and dog walking bags.​

From our dining table to your dog's neck, everything we create is a testament to the care and quality that only a small, family-run business can provide. We're proud to share a little piece of our happy Scottish home with you and your cherished canine companion.
Our Fabrics and Fittings
We use only the best of fabrics with our 100% wool tartans mainly coming from Lochcarron of Selkirk, a town in the borders.
Our Harris Tweed comes
from the beautiful Isle of Harris and we use premium top quality velvet in stunning colours. We stock a wide variety of Tartans but if you don’t see the tartan you are interested in then please contact us and we will endeavour to
trace and stock it for you.
The metal hardware fittings we use on our collars are strong and robust and add that extra touch of luxury to our range. Because of the top quality of the fabrics and fittings that we use our eyecatching collars and bows will stand the test of time and provide comfort for your beloved pet.
To provide extra comfort for your pet we line our collars in satin or tartan ribbon
Our Pretty Bows
Our bows come in 4 different sizes from extra small to large and are elasticated on the back of the bow to enable them to slot easily over their matching collar.
Our Bandanas
Our Bandanas are sized small, medium and large and are made so that our collars slot through a channel on top of the bandana.
Our Leads
Our leads are either 20mm or 25mm wide dependent on your choice and are designed to match our Collars using the same materials. All leads are made to
order with matching hardware where possible.

Measuring Your dogs neck
Our collars are adjustable but to ensure a good fit it is advisable to measure your dogs neck. Do this by measuring around the base of your dogs neck allowing two fingers to fit between the neck and the tape measure.

Our collars are Quick Release Collars
A quick release collar is a collar that is quick to put on and take off. We make this collar by covering strong polypropylene or nylon webbing with our beautiful fabrics and the robust closure fitting makes it easy to get the collar on and off. All our collars are adjustable ensuring a great fit.
